What are eyelash extensions?
There have been an endless sea of places to get eyelash extensions on the market for years, including those purchased from drug stores and online. The variations of extensions I use are completely different from the cheap, fake looking lashes that are sold as single strips at some department stores.

These designer and synthetic, semi-permanent lashes are individually applied for maximum effect. Unlike other styles of false lashes, professionally applied eyelash extensions can last for months with very little upkeep. While there is certainly nothing wrong with do-it-at-home eyelash kits from TV commercials, this is a completley different kind of treatment. You can expect to have thicker, longer looking lashes in a short period of time.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What Happens During My Eyelash Extensions Appointment?
When I arrive to your location for the appointment, I will study the color, length, size and shape of your natural eyelashes. If the extensions are for a wedding, date, special event or just for fun, feel free to tell me. The more information I have about your needs, the better I can meet your expectations. If possible, wash off any eyeliner or mascara before the session.

You will also be able to ask questions, as well as make suggestions as to what types of eyelash extensions you desire. It’s more than okay for you to show me pictures of a Hollywood star’s or celebrity’s lashes.

After we have shared information, it will be time to get your new eyelash extensions. A lot of my clients like to play music on their sound system, or listen to their MP3 during the appointment. Of course, if you just want to have girl time and chat while I work: that works too! During our first appointment, it will probably take me around 30 to 40 minutes (per eye) to apply the extensions. There may be times during our visit when I’ll have you look at my hand mirror, to get your feed-back along the way. What’s most important to me is that you are happy with the way you look.

What About Touch-Ups?
Appointments for eyelash extensions touch-ups take about half as much time as the first time you get them done. You will need touchups because every three to four weeks your own lashes naturally shed. In a nutshell, the eyelashes we are born with tend to fall out and re-grow every forty-five to ninety days. Since eyelash extensions are skillfully applied to your own lashes, it is necessary maintain proper upkeep every once in a while.

What Happens After Eyelash Extensions Are Applied? How Do I Care for my Lashes?
After having your new full set of eyelash extensions, try to keep the eye area dry and away from running water or moisture for the first 24 hours. You want the fresh extensions to form a strong bond with your own lashes. I suggest, sleeping sideways or on your back the first night if at all possible.  You don’t have to be a zombie or anything, just be gentle for the first day. Afterwards, you can shower, go in the pool and continue your active lifestyle.

I cherish the relationships I have with each one of my clients. It’s so much fun to see the happy reaction on a person’s face the first time they get eyelash extensions.
